Salvaging Elite Armor (luxon)? - Guild Wars Forums

I searched for the topic but didn't find anything useful.
Having spent lot of money on a Ranger Elite Luxon Armor (now dedicated in the HoM to my char), salvaging it may give a part of the material used?
Or its a waste of time (I'm looking for money for my Vabbian armor..)?

It will give you a part of the materials back, but not a significant chunk of materials or money you'll need towards a new armor. Honestly, I'd keep the armor. You won't get out of it nearly what you put in.

You will probably not get any shards back, just common mats - At least that's what i got from my Platemail.

Yeah - an obby armor set I salvaged turned into...eh, cloth and...cloth!

Keep the armor. ;p

I wouldn't recommend it either, salvaged my Vabbian set and got elonian leather

Salvaged my Vabbian and got 3 sapphs so you never know.

If your never going to use ugly "HoM Only" armour why not salvage it ?

Well with Luxon armor he is hoping for Jadeite, but chances are small that you will get much out of it. If you don't use the armor then I would salvage it though and free up the storage. Make sure to get a Perfect Salvage Kit so you an get the runes and insignia off of it first.
